Program Objective: The R.TCM.H program provides specialized training in the field of Chinese herbal medicine (traditional pharmacology). The three-year diploma program (1,900 hours) offers in-depth study of herbal theory and clinical concepts. The curriculum covers principles of TCM diagnostics and therapeutics and includes aspects of dietary therapy in Traditional Chinese Medicine.
Program Requirements: Graduates of the Chinese Herbal Medicine diploma program are eligible to register as Registered Traditional Chinese Medicine Herbalists (R.TCM.H) in British Columbia. Graduates must successfully pass the provincial licensing examination in British Columbia.
Program Duration and Career Opportunities: Upon passing the assessment by the College of Traditional Chinese Medicine Practitioners and Acupuncturists of BC (CTCMA) or other provincial regulatory bodies, graduates are eligible to register as R.TCM.H in British Columbia. Registered graduates may practice independently in TCM clinics or be employed as professional herbalists.
Admission Requirements: Students have graduated from Grade 12 or equivalent; Students must be 19 years of age or older before the first day of class.
Language Requirement: HSK(The Chinese Proficiency Test) 5 or higher
